I wrote an article yesterday about being gentle with ourselves and allowing the humanness of who we are to catch up to the soul of what we are meant to do in our lives (and our business). We are often hard on ourselves because “we aren’t there yet”.

When you catch yourself in that self doubt or the self talk that questions the speed of your success in your business, you need to just observe and let go.

For example, you are about to launch a major campaign whether online or in person or through direct mail. There is often self-talk (whether conscious or not) that may bring up feelings of “can I do this?”, “what if no one shows up or signs up“, “what if the bridgeline knocks everyone off (that’s from personal experience )”.

So in that moment, we need to observe and let go.

In that moment, we need to tell the universe: “Thanks for sharing, now I am off to do my soul’s work”.. I am off to present what I know is my purpose and passion to transform the lives of others and the right people will step forward and hear it at the moment they are meant to hear it.

We do what we were meant to do in the universe and we take the outcomes (good or bad) as lessons and ways to tweak the way we deliver our message the next time. Perhaps we need to seek guidance or mentorship in areas we want to improve, perhaps we need to switch gears and put together another way of being of service and delivering our gift.

Observing and letting go of the chatter that doesn’t serve you,  allows you to stay connected and grounded to your soul’s purpose while building our business.

You might be asking.. but where is the money in that? Money is the exchange we are rewarded and paid when we create more energy through our soul’s purpose.

Do you have a filter on what you choose to put onto your to do list? Do you find yourself bogged down by tasks that suck your energy? You need these 3 Secrets on how to make sure you are only doing what you love and making money doing it.

As promised, in order to be more aligned with the Law of Least Effort, we need to be doing more tasks that don’t feel like work to us.

Often Entrepreneurs feel like they are the only ones that can do a certain task perfectly.Or you don’t think you can afford to hire someone else to do the work for you. Perhaps it is because we like to control every aspect of our business and life.

Does this sound like you? Believe me, this was me not too long ago too. But, by doing that, you end up wasting your time…. firstly on stuff you aren’t passionate about and secondly you are taking away from growing your business to make more money.

3 secrets on how to make sure you are only doing what you love is to have 3 filters. Every task that you have, from your home to your business should go through these 3 filters. If you answer yes to all 3 then you should put it on your to do list…

1.Do you love doing it?
2.Are you good at doing it?
3.Do your clients love you doing this to, with, or for them and they show you this by paying you HANDSOMELY for it!

By going through this filter, you will be amazed at how many things you clear off your plate and to do lists. It might be easier for you to see it in numbers:

Say you pay someone to do 5 hours of work you don’t like to do… you pay them $25/hour to do this work for you.  For this scenario to make the numbers easy, say you bill $125/hour (don’t like the hourly business model…but for this post we will use it)

The way you can grow your business doing what you love, is to make sure you trade the 5 hours of work you don’t like doing for doing 5 hours of income producing work.  (Income Producing is the key!)

1 hour for working on your business that will provide you income(doing stuff you like)
2 hours on Marketing your business to get more business to attract another 2 more hours of income
1 hour of work you attracted from the 2 hours of marketing that you did(that you get paid $125/hour) to pay for your 5 hours to hire the person to do the work you don’t like.
1 hour doing the work from the 2hours of marketing that you did.
5 hours total doing only work you love and attracting another hour of work into your business.

Read the numbers again if you didn’t get it the first time. Entrepreneurs that are able to let go of tasks that are not a part of their passion and true brilliance will make more money doing what they love.

Are you aware of the Law of Least Effort? You have mastered this law when you come to the state where you do nothing and complete everything? If you’re saying… what is she talking about?? Please read on.

Tonight I went to a screening of the movie 7 Spiritual Laws of Success. The best selling book by Deepak Chopra was turned into a movie with Olivia Newton-John. Like many book to movies, it didn’t do the book justice… however, this is not the point of my post.

After the movie, there was a panel discussion about people’s thoughts on the movie. Someone pointed out their confusion on the 4th Law… which is the Law of Least Effort.

The man stated that he thought that in today’s society we are always looking for the easy way out, quick 3 steps, a pill to solve all our problems… and the law of least effort is a bit controversial as it states by doing less you accomplish more.  This just promoted people sitting around believing if they do less, they will get what they want.

I love that he brought this to light because when I first got this book from a friend over 11 years ago, I remember thinking Dr. Chopra must have made a mistake on that law too… and that we all know that the harder we work the more results we get.

Over the years, with a bit of repetition, I began to unlearn what our educational system and western society has been trying to drill into kids at a young age… that you need to work hard to succeed and do things you don’t love to get ahead.

After 10 years, I finally understood what Chopra meant and how important it is to try to master the Law of Least Effort to truly reach spiritual success.  I finally saw in my business how when you are connected to your life’s purpose and passion things that used to feel  like work become effortless.  Synchronicity lines what you need and the universe conspires to support you.

I managed to create a multi-six-figure business selling a craft item… my passion was to inspire people.  I attracted into my life all the people, things and resources that I needed to get my message and products out there.

Yes, I did have to “work”, but a lot of it didn’t feel like work. I felt bless that I got to live a life doing what I was doing! In the last few years, when it started to “feel” like work, I realized that I needed to reevaluate how I was going to live my passion to spark contagious energy and action in people and in myself again…. hence, this coaching business was born.

When you are aligned with your passion, you will attract the right people to help you along the way to growing it.

You no longer need to choose between making money and doing what you love, because they go hand in hand.  Take a look at Oprah, Wayne Dyer, Deepak Chopra, and Tony Robbins. They have all created businesses that they are passionate about. They make amazing money doing it… they do the work they love and it is of least effort to them as their brilliance flows out of them
